Iran Nuclear Program

WACA Engage America Series
The Iran Nuclear Deal: Prospects for Cooperation, Competition and Confrontation

WACA is pleased to collaborate with The Iran Project on the Iran Nuclear Deal: Prospects for Cooperation, Competition and Confrontation program series.

About the Program
The main objective of this program is to deepen the understanding of implications for U.S. policy and interests in the Middle East following the official implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, which began January 16, 2016. JCPOA is a diplomatic milestone that has profound and long-term implications for U.S. foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East. In anticipation of heightened debate throughout the U.S. and challenges that face the next administration, this program will inform participants about the nature of the nuclear deal and the role of Iran in the Middle East. The program will bring policy practitioners, regional experts and national security leaders to World Affairs Councils across the country to discuss the prospect for managing the U.S.-Iran competition in the region, for preparing for potential confrontations and for possibly expanding U.S.-Iran cooperation.

This program is generously supported by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.
