The World Affairs Council of Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce that the Honorable Arne Duncan, Secretary of Education, will be the keynote speaker for the Council's 30th Anniversary Global Education Dinner. Secretary Duncan will be honored with the International Affairs Award. Other distinguished honorees include: H.E. Ambassador Pierre Vimont, Ambassador of France to the United States, Distinguished Diplomatic Service Award; Dr. Steven Knapp, President, The George Washington University, Educator of the Year Award; Dr. Vinton G. Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist, Google, Global Education Award; and Judy Woodruff, Senior Correspondent, The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, Global Communications Award. The event will take place at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel on March 10, 2010.
