Northrop Grumman has been a strong supporter of the National World Affairs Council for five years. In that time, Northrop Grumman has contributed over $100,000 to the World Affairs Councils of America to support its international affairs education programs, conferences and outreach.

Jim Tapp, Sector Vice President for Integration, Northrop Grumman Corporate Business Development and Government Relations, has been on the national board since 2000. His energy, ideas and support of the council system have benefited both the national office and the councils around the country. Formerly an Air Force pilot, he taught at the Air University and headed Senate Liaison for the Secretary of the Air Force with the rank of colonel. He has an MBA from Auburn and lives in Great Falls, Virginia.
