Charles Stout has been involved in International Affairs and volunteer projects for many years. After his “first” retirement from AYCO/Goldman Sachs in 2007, where he managed the Pittsburgh office for 18 years, he decided to devote much of his life to international travel and volunteerism. He combined the two with becoming involved with the Habitat for Humanity Global Village program, where he served as a team member or leader on builds in South Africa, Malawi, Vietnam, New Zealand, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. He also was instrumental in the building of a secondary school in Mulanje, Malawi and instituting a vision testing /eyeglasses program in the villages of the Mulanje District. He is a Board member of the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh and served as Board Chair from 2016 through 2018. He also has chaired the Board of Brothers Brother Foundation, where he has been a board member since 2007.
Charles is a graduate of Miami of Ohio (Finance) and Capital University Law School. He and his wife, Jean, are the parents of three sons and grandparents to five grandchildren. The have lived in Mt. Lebanon, PA (suburb of Pittsburgh) since 1982.
Charles enjoys mountain and road biking, hiking, tennis, golf, and pickle ball.
