September 12 | Kurdistan with Bayan Sami Sbdul Rahman

Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman is the Kurdistan Regional Government Representative (KRG) to the U.S. advocating on issues such as security, humanitarian, economic, and cultural matters in order to promote coordination and participation. Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman will be visiting the World Affairs Council of Greater Reading to discuss her experience as a KRG and career in public service.

G. Terry Madonna is a Professor of Public Affairs and the Director of the Center for Politics and Public Affairs at Franklin and Marshall College. He is also the Director of the Franklin & Marshall College Poll. In the early 1970s, he served as County Commissioner of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Join the World Affairs Council of Greater Reading for this speaker event with Terry Madonna.

November 19 | Brazil Wants Results: Less Violence, Economic Growth, and Respect for the Rule of Law

Paulo Sotero is the Director of the Brazil Institute at the Wilson Center. He is an expert in economics and globalization, governance and democracy, and Latin America, specifically Brazil. At this event with the World Affairs Council of Greater Reading, Paulo Sotero will explore the current state of Brazil in terms of social change and economic growth. 

December 11 | Making Sense of the Iranian Escalation

Behnam Ben Taleblu is a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies where he focuses on Iranian security and political issues. He is an expert on Iran's global threat network and politics, having experience working on non-proliferation issues and ballistic missiles from Iran. At this event, Behnam will offer up his expertise on Iran and discuss the current global security issues and escalation as we move forward.
