The World Affairs Councils of America serves nearly 100 Member Councils in 41 states, plus the District of Columbia. Our newest member, Baltimore Council on Foreign Affairs, joined WACA just this year (2019).
There are three paths to membership in the WACA national network:
The World Affairs Council of Central Florida (WACCFL) is a part of the largest national non-partisan network of local councils, known as the World Affairs Councils of America, dedicated to educating, inspiring and engaging Americans in international affairs and the critical global issues of our times. As a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote global understanding and connectedness, WACCFL is dedicated to connecting citizens of Central Florida to the global community.
The WACCFL is also home to the local branch of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), which is administered by the United States Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The IVLP works to facilitate short-term visits for current and emerging foreign leaders in a variety of fields to the United States to experience this country firsthand and cultivate lasting relationships with their American counterparts.
