China has implemented an expansive strategy of economic diplomacy in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond, the U.S. has taken a step back from multilateral trade agreements and discarded the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). China has made inroads through initiatives like One Belt, One Road and the Asian Infrastructure Investment

April 19 | Indiana Council on World Affairs | DIPLOMACY: KEEPING PEACE & PREVENTING ARTOCITIES

Distinguished Speaker - Ambassador Feinstein

Lee Feinstein, Founding Dean and Professor, School of Global and International Studies, [SGIS], Indiana University, will discuss the American diplomatic interventions towards peace keeping, including what is needed to prevent mass atrocities. 

He has served as U.S. Ambassador to Poland, on the Secretary of State's Policy Planning Staff, and holds a number of board positions, including a presidential appointment to the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. 

On March 28 and 29, 2018, he will host SGIS's third annual conference on America's Role in the World which is open to the public.
