In The World According to China, Elizabeth Economy examines China’s ambitious new strategy to reshape the geostrategic landscape in dramatic new ways. Xi Jinping's vision is for China to "lead in the reform of the global governance system." Her book explores China's claims over Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the South China Sea, its Belt and Road Initiative, and its leadership and role in international institutions.
The discuss will be moderated by Bill Clifford, President and CEO of the World Affairs Councils of America.

Elizabeth Economy is the C.V. Starr senior fellow and director for Asia studies at the Council on Foreign Relations and a distinguished visiting fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.
